We’re always looking for volunteers for all kinds of projects and events, if you’re looking for an opportunity to develop your skills or practice, or you’d just like to get involved in something rewarding and fun, then get in touch.  We’re particularly interested in creative people that also have an interest in social justice, and get on with the widest range of people.  In return for giving us a hand, you’ll learn a lot about working with people, learn all kinds of new skills, and get to share in the joy we take in making our work with and alongside some great people.  Give us a call or drop us a line if you are interested.

    Hi

My name is Rachael and I am a second year at Margret Street and we’ve been told to look for a placement. I would like to experience working with artist in a real life setting and expand my own work in the process.

I like to work in sculpture and illustration. I also dabble in photography and painting. I’m interested in learning more about all areas of art. I’m also very interested in working in festival art I’ve been attending festival for my whole live and really enjoy the atmosphere and would love the chance to be apart of one.

Hope to hear from you soon

    yours sincerely

    Hello,

My name is Jack a student of theatre and performance at the University of Hull. I’m graduating this year and I am very much seeking opportunities to engage with the wider cultural community. I come from a theatrical background but throughout my degree I have embraced many forms of contemporary performance including site-specific work. I am a performer and freelance journalist with an activist agenda. I have a hunger to work and collaborate with other artists and cultural enterprises. Please drop me a line if any volunteer work is on the horizon at friction arts.

    Best
    Jack
