The Edge Remains Closed

Posted on Apr 6, 2021 in Uncategorized | No Comments

We sadly closed The Edge on 4th January 2021 for three months because of the rising number of coronavirus cases. We were really pleased to hear the government’s plans for a phased re-opening for community organisations, from as soon as Monday 12th April. We have looked at the advice and have discussed it with our people, and we have decided to keep The Edge closed to the public and our service users until we can assess the roadmap’s success. This is only for public events and we are still available for private events like rehearsals for theatre or music, filming and the like – keeping to social-distancing rules. Get in touch if this is something that might be useful for you.

We are desperate to return to The Edge and to see again the many people who make up the Friction family. We want to see, be and work with you again, but the health and wellbeing of our staff and service users always comes first.

We will continue to assess the success of the government’s strategy, and we will provide another update at the beginning of May.

In the meantime, we would like to remind you that you can drop in and see us every Friday at 4.30 on Zoom. Tweet or email us for the link. And don’t forget, we host a monthly social for colleagues, friends, artists to catchup. The next one is this month, Friday 16th April 2021.

Take care and see you soon,

Sandra and Lee
