What an incredible start! A massive thank you to everyone who made it to our very first ‘Cardboard Carnival’ meeting last Thursday.
The turnout was fantastic, and it’s clear we have a wave of enthusiasm and support to make this event truly amazing. We’re already well on our way to creating an unforgettable event for COP30!
Fuelling the fun
Great news! We’ve already secured enough funding to ensure we have some fantastic free food on 15th November. Our resources pack is ready to help prepare for the Carnival and a huge shout-out to Change Kitchen—get ready for some great nosh! Also thanks to Friends of the Earth who are running banner making and XR Beats who are providing the carnival atmosphere!
A huge thank you, as always, to Friction for hosting our kick-off and for letting us use their space for our next gathering. Mark your calendars! Our next meeting is at The Edge on Monday, October 23rd, at 7:00 PM. Can’t make it in person? No worries! We’ll be hosting a hybrid meeting, so you can join us online.

We want to hear from you! We’re putting out a special call to young people and youth organisations interested in getting involved. We have a resource pack which includes some ideas making puppets, banners and cardboard installations.
Carnival Workshop & Food: Join us at The Edge for a free, fun Carnival workshop and food (on us!) on the day from 10am – bring your fabulous creations or make them in the morning for carnival fun.
Join the Carnival Jamboree: Meet up in town for a creative, vibrant carnival jamboree! Bring your own costumes/ music/ fun!
