Monday 21st July at the Edge we’ll be doing something new to us – our own gaming event! We’ve been talking to gaming specialists and our young producer, Jago, has been working on an exciting programme for us all:
‘I’ve always loved gaming. I’ve already made small games and hosted a showcase at my college. I’m really excited about hosting a public event at the Edge’
Jago meets games legend Freddie Fazbear
There are great opportunies to socialise and get creative with games, and it is a growing industy pulling in more money to the ecomony than film and TV combined. We plan to do it a bit differently at the Edge:
‘There are so many small solo devs and independent games companies that I think create some the best games in the industry. I really want people to see some of the fab work happening outside the big names.’
CRE@TE Festival is over three days – Monday there’ll be board games, art activities and cosplay upstgairs and the games takeover downstairs, with games stations aroud the room. Jago will be hosting on main stage with special guests, trying out different games – multiplayer, single player, even on your phones!
