What is Crib?
Crib is the place where chilling out meets stepping up. There’s opportunities for gaming, music, whatever you want as well as developing real leadership skills launching your own projects with our creative team.
It’s your opportunity to be heard, do what you want, gaming-exchanging and sharing game-changing ideas and turn them into action.
How do we do it?
We are responsive to the people who we work with, the project, and need.
Our tried and tested creative processes work alongside good youth practice. We challenge youth violence through life-long learning, connecting and signposting to youth and artistic opportunities within Friction, locally and through our network of national and international artists.
About the Edge
The Edge is an inclusive, accessible safe, brave space. Newly refurbished it’s also bigger, better and warmer.
Originally a boiled sweet warehouse, it now enables creative minds to produce visual art, performance, music, wellbeing activities and developmental programmes.
The Edge isn’t a white box arts space, its bare brick walls and objects collected from decades of work remind us that we straddle the arts world and the wider community.
Our team
We don’t work in one area, nor do we take one approach. We have connections and partnerships within eductation and youth services as well as an extensive network of arties.
Crib will link with other activities and events like CREATE, and we are looking to increase our delivery for young people 14 and upwards.
As well as signposting to other organisations and people there are opportunities for mentoring for young people to thrive, building brighter futures. we fashion bespoke programmes and activities co-desgned developing confidence and skills.
All our activities are carefully managed to make sure of safeguarding and we have an open door policy. All staff have enhanced DBS and are experienced and trained to deliver quality youth and arts opportunities.
