Who’s listening to Young People at COP30?

“The Mutirão for climate change is a shift in mindset”
The Presidency Youth Climate Champion for COP 30, Marcele Oliveira, believes collective action will make the difference. Previous Youth Climate Champions have demanded to move from symbolic participation to genuine decision-making. Young representativies at COP 30 will be asking for ‘Global Youth Recommendations’ reflecting consultations from youth in many countries, mandatory youth representation in government delegations and national climate plans, urgent and effective inclusion in all plans.
