Chandos Primary School, collaborative music-making led by Natalie Mason and Beth Hopkins (Multicultural Music Making) work with year 5 at Chandos Primary School, supported by found sound and interview work with Marcus Belben and Russell Green, explore what it means to be ‘Home in Highgate’.
We introduced our giant map, ran interviewing workshops and walked across Highgate to ‘find sounds’ to use in music making and lyric writing workshops. We also drew what ‘Home in Highgate’ looked like to us, using and building on previous work over the summer with Young People homr in Highgate.
Weekly workshops ran rhrough September and October ending with a sharing event at Chandos Primary School.
