Job opportunity – Culture Club Support Artist (Now closed for applications)
Friction Arts is seeking a support artist who can help deliver a new and ambitious programme of work for young people. The series of twenty workshops – funded by Birmingham City Council – are part of a pilot project to support young people outside of the formal education system in exploring their cultural backgrounds through the prism of the arts: the project will also facilitate greater integration among peers and share culture and experiences from different backgrounds. This is a paid, fixed-term development opportunity for a freelance support artist who is both committed to helping young people to explore and celebrate their cultural backgrounds and who is also passionate about contributing to the development of a bottom-up approach to working with young people.
To apply, submit a covering letter of a maximum one page and a CV, along with a completed equal opportunities monitoring form to info@frictionarts.com by 5.00 pm on Wednesday 17th February 2021.
