Home in Highgate is a local partnership to make community use of our local assets with residents including our green spaces, supporting people who are ‘Home in Highgate’ to develop cultural opportunities to stengthen our community.
We run monthly meetings for residents and local partner organisations at different locations across Highgate to hear people’s views, to fundraise and act together (next one 19th December 12 to 3pm at Stanhope Wellbeing Hub). We are open to support any project, activity or service which residents want. Different local partner organisations can act to lead particular partnerships for different projects (e.g. ‘Home in Highgate Summer Fete’ was led by BOSF, ‘Light into Night’ was led by Friction Arts.
Our first meetings identified a need for youth activities, so we ran a summer programme of activities for young people leading to workshops at Chandos Primary School and events in New Hope Park during holiday times.
We’ve got a great offer for young people in Highgate from 8-19 years old. Our youth lead, Russell is offering a range of activities for you to get active and be involved in.
Art, sport, photography and film are all on offer. As well as awaydays and holiday activities, there’s people to talk to and to help you with advice, information and guidance on all kinds of matters.
