Support Artist Job Opportunity
Friction Arts are on a quest to find the right Support Artist to work with an inspiring group of young people with different needs and abilities. Our Art Club is a free, weekly term-time Club, which supports young people aged 8-18 yrs old to explore their culture, work and spend time with their alternative peer group and develop their artistic skills. You must be excited to develop their skills and ideas in culturally responsive, participant-led workshops.
You will be working alongside artists from our wider team as well as our Art Club team, some of whom are former Art Club members.

Timeline
- Application deadline: Monday 17th July 2023
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application on Wednesday 19th July 2023
- Interview date TBC will be held at The Edge, 11- 3pm between 28th July to 5th August and will include a short interview and working with Young People
- Expected start date: 9th September 2023
Hours and Rate of Pay:
Between £9 and £12 per hour.
Friction pay above National Living wage and will set rate of pay depending on age and experience.
Fixed term contract on a termly basis, working Saturdays, dates to be negotiated, no fewer than four Saturdays per school term. Other work opportunities through Friction can be negotiated to support other projects, visits and events.
